CAST MEMBER, WE ARE KICKBALL
As a director for both FILM and THEATRE, I deeply enjoy collaboration. To me, the ultimate center for artistic collaboration is experienced when acting as a director.
I enjoy directing films and videos for hopeful audiences, and especially the young at heart. I like to play, to experiment, and to "spark joy" as Marie Kondo would put it. I've created videos for marketing and training purposes for companies like ACR Homes and Bethel University, in addition to numerous short films. On a film set, I've worked as an actor, writer, director, assistant, videographer, sound mixer, editor, and producer so I understand what goes into each phase of production. I value patience and working closely with a team every step of the way, except when I need to barricade myself into an office space in order to focus and get stuff done. Sometimes, you just need time.
I also enjoy directing theatre productions that are youthful, charming, and simple. My directing philosophy revolves around inspiring my actors to take ownership over their work as if it is brand new; they are the only ones to perform this role in this way. Whether it's for youth and children, young actors, or professionals, I always believe in teaching actors to learn, and to find where the love is within their roles.
