What was supposed to be just a few friends making a lil’ film in the woods with our iPhones during the pandemic has turned into a $33,000 crowdfunding campaign for an 8-episode web series
The first entry in the "Playlet Challenge" is about saying goodbye to the past. Using video clips of myself that never surfaced during my past job at ACR Homes, I wanted to compile a little song that I wrote to say goodbye. It's about moving on from any place, which is always difficult. I dedicate the song to all those people who captured these little clips on their phones or cameras and sent them to me during my time at ACR. :)
In a foolish attempt to challenge myself creatively, I'm embarking on a challenge to turn 52 ideas into 52 different creations that I call "Playlets."
JUNE UPDATE: I thought that I could take 1 idea off my list each week and turn it into reality. However, after just a few weeks, I've realized that's too much to ask of myself at this time. I've created this challenge and will be revisiting it at another time. La la laa la laa, everything is fine, and I'm not worried about the fact that today is the last day of my job and tomorrow I dive off a cliff into the world of being a full-time artist; yaaaay!!
Every January, I like to participate in a little personal social media coliseum-style event I call,
“The Clean-Up-My-Friends Extravaganza,” (abbreviated as "The CUMFE".) I think it's time to write something. I gotta do it. I feel stuck. Well, I like stories. I pride myself on storytelling in all its forms. Let's talk about that
