TEACHER

"Thanks to you, I know I should probably be an engineer. I guess that's good."
ALEX, 5TH GRADER

I am a teacher for all ages, shapes, and sizes! Students require respect, encouragement, and attention in order to really thrive. During college, I spent a lot of time being bored out of my mind, so I came up with a way NOT to do that. My classes are experiential, active, and safe. I ensure that everyone knows that no matter where they are at, when we're in class, it's a safe place to learn, experiment, and play. I'd love to teach a few classes with you or even perform at your event!

Here are a few examples of my most requested classes:
Doctor Who, Sherlock, & Newsies. Frankly, anything where the characters have an accent that I don’t have, I love. Dialects ranging from Brooklyn, South-ern, Standard British, Cockney, Scottish, Irish, & French have fascinated me because of their unique roles in telling stories. Let’s play with them so you can go out and act like you’re from Europe while at the grocery store!
Adventure begins with discovery, and action begins with conflict! Lots and lots of conflict. In this class, we explore how to safely create a scene where people bring their fisticuffs “Up and at ‘em, see?” Engage in hand-to-hand combat and sword fighting, with an emphasis on creating a compelling story.  Safety first, but also learn to make your partner look awesome while taking a hit. Bring your fists ready for punching!
When I was a kid, I couldn’t throw a ball to save my life. Object manipulation is still one of my most pathetic/humorous skills. Juggling seemed absolutely out of the question for me for a long time. I’ve put countless hours of practice into it and it’s still challenging, but it’s a challenge that has taught me how to learn anything. Join me in learning how to juggle; and how to do pretty much anything else.
